It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Glenn E. Davis, 77, of Worcester, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Worcester, surrounded by loved ones. Glenn was the beloved husband of the late, Elizabeth (Mikelonis) Davis.
Glenn is survived by his loving daughter, Brittany Davis-Nishan, her husband Ryan Nishan, and his grandson Marshall Nishan of Webster; his cherished sister Ruth Boyda; and nieces, Edie Vinson, Elaine Miles and Laurie Miles; numerous great nieces and nephews; and dear friends. He always expressed that all his life he was blessed with friends that were as close as brothers.
Born in New Hampshire on May 24, 1947, Glenn to George Washington and Marjorie (Henderson) Davis. Glenn was a graduate of North High School in Worcester. Following graduation, he had gone on to obtain his Associate's degree from the New England School of Accounting. He served in the US Army for 34 months; promoted to Sergeant in Korea in 1968 and Staff Sergeant in Vietnam in 1969. Earned a bronze star for action seen in Vietnam.
Glenn truly loved traveling, horse racing and great food.
There are no words that can capture how much Glenn will be missed.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. With a Prayer Service starting at 11:00a.m. Glenn will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Elizabeth in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glenn's memory to the American Cancer Society.
