Gloria L. (Alford) Larkin

Gloria L. (Alford) Larkin, 79 of Worcester, MA passed away at home on March 5, 2024, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer and other illnesses.

Her husband Jack Larkin, died in 1996. She is survived by her beloved sons, Christopher L. Miller, and Tony A. Alford, both of Worcester; her loving siblings, Robert J. Alford of Worcester, Sandra F. (Alford) Troy and her husband Kenneth of Surprise, AZ; Velma J. Alford-Jenkins of Worcester; her beloved niece, Sarah R. Barnes of Worcester, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her cherished siblings; Latrell (Alford) Barnes, Harold Alford, Larry D. Alford, and Carl C. Alford.

Mrs. Larkin was born in Sylvester, GA to the late Leroy and Eldora (Brooken) Alford. She was a graduate of Crooms High School in Sanford, FL, and moved to Worcester with her family in 1966. She worked as a microchip processor at Sprague Electric in Worcester and Digital Equipment Corp in Hudson, MA prior to retiring in 2007. She was a member and dedicated usher at Grace Christian Centre and loved to study her bible. She was an animal lover and really enjoyed the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel. She loved her family very much and enjoyed any opportunity to travel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am at Grace Christian Centre, 126 Elm Street, Worcester, MA on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the church. Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA is directing arrangements.
