Harry H. Henton, Jr. 70, of Worcester passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in his home.
Harry was born in Knoxville, Tenn, one of two sons of Harry H. Henton, Sr. and Annie Mae (McGhee) Henton. Raised and educated in Alcoa, Tennessee, Harry entered the U.S. Army in 1972, serving his country proudly during the Vietnam Era and Persian Gulf Conflicts before retiring from his last post at Ft Devens in Massachusetts. Harry never left the area and lived in Worcester since retirement. Harry worked in the area for several companies before retiring.
Harry is survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family all in the Knoxville Tennessee area. He was predeceased by his parents and brother David.
Harry was a quiet, kind hearted man with a circle of friends whom all enjoyed getting together and sharing each other’s company.
Harry’s funeral service and burial with Military honors, will be held Tuesday March 18th at 1 pm at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glennie Street, Winchendon. Memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Vets Inc. 60 Grove St Worcester, MA 01608. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist in Harry’s arrangement’s.
