Isabella "Elise" Porcelli

Isabella “Elise” (Rana) Porcelli, 81 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Isabella was born in Bisceglie, Italy, the daughter of the late Girolamo and Antonia (DiLiddo) Rana.  She worked in the Environmental Services Department at Worcester State Hospital for 11 years before retiring. Isabella was also an accomplished and talented master seamstress for various companies. She was a very good cook who loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. Isabella was a former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church member and enjoyed sewing, bingo, and an occasional trip to the casino.

Isabella’s husband, Benito Porcelli passed away on November 7, 2020.  She is survived by four children, Antonia Porcelli of Sarasota, FL., Lia Porcelli and her wife Paula of Sterling, Franco Porcelli and his wife Tracy of Oxford and Gino Porcelli and his wife Kristina of Paxton; five grandchildren, Christina Fife and her husband Christopher of Princeton, Brandon and Ashley Setterlund both of Holden, Dominic Porcelli of Oxford and Mia Porcelli of Paxton; one great-grandchild, Daphne Fife of Princeton; Sister Margherita Mastrodonato of Rome, Italy; many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by a brother, Francesco Rana, and three stepbrothers, Mauro, Leonardo, and Angelo Lamanuzzi.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 9-11 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  Her funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 19^th at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 34 Massasoit Rd., Worcester.  Burial will be held privately and at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Elder Services of Worcester Area Inc., 67 Millbrook St., Suite 100, Worcester, MA. 01606
