James "Jimmy" Beasley

James W. "Jimmy" Beasley, 68 a lifelong Millbury resident passed away surrounded by the family he loved, Monday, October 17, 2022, after a period of declining health.

Jimmy was born in Worcester, son of Walter R. and Rita E. (Mackowiak) Beasley. He grew up in Millbury, graduated from Millbury High, and served for a time in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He returned to Millbury and has made it his home ever since. In 1993, he married Evoine Speight and has lived a life of love and dedication to each other and their family. Jimmy worked many years as a machinist for the Rand-Whitney Corporation before retiring.

Jim is survived by his wife Evoine; his daughter, Amanda Provencher and her husband Scott of Leicester, step children, Donald Speight and his wife Spring of Portland Maine and Lillie Speight and her fiancé, Curtis Fate of Worcester; 8 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his three sisters,  Lori Piscitelli and her husband Steven of Millbury, Nancy Bousquet and her husband Jack of Wales, Ma, and Candace Dranginis of Sturbridge: Nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  He is predeceased by his infant son, James W. Beasley, Jr. who passed away in 2001.

Jim was a kindhearted family man, whose greatest moments were those spent with family and friends. He was also and enthusiastic Fisherman, fishing the ocean, and surfcasting spending years visiting Cape Cod. James found joy watching the New England Sports teams, especially the Red Sox, Bruins, and New England Patriots.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 23^rd from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral service will be held Monday, October 24, at 11 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances his name can be made to the St Vincent Hospital Cancer Center, 1 Eaton Place, Worcester.
