James J. ‘Jimmy” Celularo, 80 of Worcester died peacefully at home on Monday October 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. James is survived by his wife of 56 years Beverly ( Hietala) Celularo, his daughters, Gia Celularo and Trina Celularo and son in law Keith Eastham. Jimmy also leaves a brother Raymond Celularo, and sisters, Irene Eucker, Eva Kiley, and Dolores Norrman, also many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brothers John, Frank, and Henry Celularo, and his sisters Ann Azzinaro and Helen Ricciardi.
James was born in Worcester son of the late Mariano and Carmela (Calarose) Celularo and lived here all his life. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. James was a long time successful business man in the city, starting with the family restaurant and Fran Cell Vending and Catering. He was also the owner of Jimmy C’s at Webster Square. He was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Loreto. James was a devoted father, husband and brother who loved his family very much. He enjoyed Sports, Fishing, and a good dish of Italian food. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Jimmy’s funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. on Thursday November 1, at 11:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto, 33 Massasoit Rd. A calling hour will be held from 9AM to 10:30AM in the funeral home prior to leaving for Church. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
