James J. Hetherman, 52 of Mashpee MA, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 26, 2022.
James was born and raised in Worcester and took pride in his Bell Hill roots. He attended Bell Hill Elementary and remained friends with many of his childhood friends throughout his entire life. As a young boy, James would spend hours fishing and exploring at Green Hill.
He attended North High in Worcester and is fondly remembered for his love of Old School Rap & Hip Hop, which he would play proudly from his boom box as he strolled the halls of high school. His passion for love jams, gained him the nick name "Jimmy Jams." Jimmy’s love of music was well known, his 'beats' brought him a huge amount of joy. He attended Mount Wachusett Community College after high school. He was a hard worker and held numerous jobs throughout his life. He had a passion for math and enjoyed helping people, which led him to find his niche in the Mortgage industry as a Mortgage Specialist throughout Worcester.
James was a die hard, loyal fan of FSU, for which he flew down to Tallahassee to run the length of the football field. He loved all sports and continued his passion for collecting sports trading cards from the time he was a child up until his last breath.
James leaves his parents, James E. and Marie (Chaput) Hetherman of Mashpee; his daughter and love of his life, Cali P. Hetherman of Worcester Ma; his sister, Theresa M. Savage of Yarmouthport, MA; his nephew, Kyle Savage and niece, Ayla Savage. James also leaves the mother of his daughter, his long-time companion and soul mate, Amy Barrett of Worcester.
James also leaves many, many close friends, he held them all very dear to his heart. "Hetherman" will undoubtedly be remembered for his ocean blue eyes, sweet baby face, handsome 6'1" stature, laid back nature, his unique fashion (gear), his ability to light up a room with his jokes and "caps", his loyal heart, and his will to fight until the very end. Hetherman was always there to help anyone at a moment’s notice, he shared his positive energy unconditionally with everyone he met because he believed in making a difference in this world and for the friends and family around him.
