Janet (Lucier) Alarie/Jeznach, 87, of Charlton, passed away December 22, 2022 at Webster Manor Health Care Center in Webster, with loved ones gathered at her bedside.
Janet was born February 28th, 1935 in Worcester, the daughter of Frank and Yvonne (Boisvert) Lucier. She was raised in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School in 1953. Janet worked for Sears in Worcester, Auburn, and Natick for 25 years before retiring in 1993. She held many diverse management positions including those in auditing, accounting, and customer service. Janet lived in Worcester and Shrewsbury before moving to Charlton in 1989.
She leaves her beloved husband, of 22 years Raymond J. JeznachJanich: her four cherished sons and their families, Robert Alarie and his wife Mary of Becket, MA and their children, Kristin Pedrotti and her husband John, Matthew Alarie and his wife Lauren, Monique Vosburgh and her husband Brian, Richard Alarie of Brooklyn CT and his daughters Amanda Alarie and her partner Matt, Amy Alarie and her partner Rick, Raymond Alarie and his wife Donna of Bellingham, and their daughters Nichole and Danielle, Ronald P. Alarie,and his wife Lisa of Sutton, and their children Meghan Telemaque, her husband Jean-Pierre, and Brian Alarie: A stepson, Lawrence Jeznach and his wife Leslie of Douglas, and their children Ashley Jeznach and David Jeznach. Janet also leaves her beloved 10 great-grandchildren Cody, Sean, Gianna, Lexi, Jake, Liam, Gracie, Kyle, Rylee, and Laura: nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is predeceased by her former husband Norman Alarie and daughter-in-law Cheryl (Sly) Alarie.
Janet was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Charlton, She loved to travel with Ray and they traveled extensively in their retirement years. In Janet’s life, her family was always her priority and her grandchildren the joys of her life.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, December 28th from 4 pm too 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Thursday, December 29th from the funeral home with a procession beginning at 9:50 to St Joseph’s Church, 10 H Putnam Rd Charlton where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Boston Children’s Hospital – Cardiac Unit, 300 Longwood Ave, Boston Ma, 02115. www.childrenshospital.org/donate
