Jean Marie (Dell’Olio) DiPinto, was released from her pain on Sunday, October 14, 2018, surrounded by her family at the end of a long battle with cancer.
Jean was an extraordinary woman whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her voice and laugh would ring out in a room crowded with friends and family, which included anyone who walked through her front door. Holidays and special occasions were a time for her to shine, as she loved to shower her loved ones with affection and serve them home-cooked meals. Perhaps most notable is her love for Christmas lights, which would illuminate her yard starting in November and could be seen all the way from Spag’s, a tradition to be continued in her memory.
While you recall your fond memories of Jean, we would like to ask that you do something in her honor. Travel to a favorite destination. Have breakfast for dinner just because. Buy yourself that purse you’ve wanted. Put a pink flamingo on your lawn. Hug your kids and grandkids. Whatever you do, do it with love.
Jean was predeceased by her father, Louis Dell’Olio. She is survived by her husband, Moe and their three cats, Graycie, Freshie & Coconut. Son Anthony, his wife Cindy, grandchildren Deanna, Madison, Anthony Jr. and Dominic, great-grandchild Aubrey, their two cats, Milo & Ollie. Son Dave, his wife Jena, and their dog, Maia. Mother Irene Dell’Olio, sister Diane, her husband Roger Duhaime, nieces Lydia & Vivian. She also leaves brother- and sisters-in-law, nieces, cousins, and countless friends.
At her request, no calling hours will be held. Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, followed by her burial at Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
