Jean M. (Bianchi) Mobilio, 91, of Holden passed away surrounded by her devoted family, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, after a brief period of declining health.
Jean was born in Worcester, the only child of Rudolph and Rose (Solari) Bianchi. After graduating from Sever Street Prep and High school, she furthered her education at The Salter Secretarial School. Jean went on to have a career as a legal assistant for Fletcher, Tilton, and Whipple, before retiring. In 1952, Jean married, the “Love of her Life”, Armand ‘Joe” Mobilio, they then began a 64, year life of family, faith, and devotion in Worcester, Shrewsbury and since 1984 in Holden.
Jean is survived by her two children, Susan Lundstrom and her husband Derek, Mark J. Mobilio and his wife Susan all of Holden; four grandchildren she was so proud of, Michael Mobilio and his wife, Patricia, Mark Lundstrom, Joseph M. Mobilio, Jill Lundstrom Ontiveros and her husband Sam; three great grandchildren, Gianna, Tahlia and Jamie; Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Jean was a member of St Mary’s Church in Holden, and a former member of St Anne’s in Shrewsbury. She was a proud impeccably dressed and appointed woman, who found love and enjoyment in taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, reading, cooking, family and friends. Jean also loved to cook, made the best chicken soup, and key lime pie, dance with Joe, vacationing in Wells Maine and Boynton Beach, Florida. She traveled to Europe and elsewhere, or anywhere Joe wanted to visit. Jean also loved animals, notably poodles, and over the years had several dogs and cats she loved, Pamper, Soufflé, Gabby and Snowball.
She was the backbone of her family and remained devoted to them throughout life. Jean honestly believed that faith, family, and friends were the most important parts of life. She was very generous with her love and time. Her unwavering faith kept her grounded and helped her through life's challenges. Jean’s passing leaves a hole in our hearts but her loving and caring soul will not be forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Tuesday, September 6, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a prayer service at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mt View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St Worcester or the Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation St, Worcester 01605.
