Jean Dorion Pelosi, 89, of Sutton, died peacefully at home on March 19, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Born in Arlington, MA, Jean was the seventh of Meril A. and Helen R. (McCole) Dorion’s eight children. An accomplished artist, she graduated with both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Jean founded a successful Advertising Art firm, Creative Design Studios, in Indianapolis, Indiana, before returning to Massachusetts, where she taught for many years at the Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical High School in Canton. She was a lifelong reader, and until recently an active member of multiple book clubs, as well as the Boston Atheneum and the Union Club. She will be fondly remembered by the many who knew and loved her.
Jean is survived by her husband Richard Pelosi, four sons, Konrad Kauper, Kurt Kauper, Karl Kauper, and Kristian Kauper, one sister, Marjorie Lander, two daughters-in-law, Jeannie Kauper and Tharinee Kauper, four grandchildren, Jason Kauper, Ryan Kauper, Asher Wells and Scarlet Wells, and many nieces and nephews.
