Jeanne M. Desrosiers

Jeanne M. Desrosiers, 80, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Knollwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was predeceased by her husband, George Desrosiers in 2011, and her son, George "Butch" Belinskas in 2007.

Jeanne is survived by her loving children, Frederick R. Belinskas and his wife Deborah of Mechanicsburg, PA; and Christine M. Dahlstrom of Worcester; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.  A sister, Pauline Kalagher predeceased her.   Jeanne was born in Boston, daughter of the late, Frederick and Irene (Graveline) Kalagher, and has lived in Worcester, all her life.  She attended St. Stephen’s School and Leo’s Beauty Institute.

Jeanne worked as a nurse’s aide at the former Belmont Home for many years, and it was there that she met her beloved husband, George.  She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church.  She enjoyed traveling the country but found the greatest joy while surrounded by her grandchildren and family.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Knollwood for their care and compassion over the several years while Jeanne resided there.

Calling Hours will be Tuesday, November 23, from 9 a.m. until her service begins at 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Entombment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
