Jeannette (Nadar) Sienkiewicz, 82, a lifelong Worcester resident, passed away Friday, December 23rd, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She joins in heaven her husband and best friend of 51 years Michael Sienkiewicz who left her side in 2015.
Jeannette was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Priscilla Nader. Raised here, Jeannette graduated from St Peters High School and earned her teaching degree from Anna Maria College. Jeannette then spent over 30 years guiding young people with education, first in the Worcester School System and the last twenty years for St Mary’s School in Shrewsbury before retiring.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Juliana and Frank Santamaria of Worcester and Michael Sienkiewicz in Boston; a sister, Linda Santos of Worcester; two grandchildren she adored, Audreana and Pat; nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A sister, Geraldine Cox, predeceased her.
Jeannette had a deep catholic faith. She loved children and found so much satisfaction going to school each day to see her students. Their success was her pride. After retirement, Jeannette, worked for her daughter in her Daycare business, loved to see her friends regularly and to travel with Mike, their favorite being Maine.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Thursday, Dec ember 29th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 35 Fales Street where her Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial next to her husband Michael will be in Veterans National Cemetery in Bourne.
