Jill A. Lessard

Jill A. (Bistany) Lessard, 62, of Auburn, a dedicated Registered Nurse and Hospital Administrator, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in Saint Vincent Hospital, with loving family members at her bedside.

Jill is survived by her beloved husband of thirty-five years, Michael F. Lessard; two sisters, Jane McKeon and Judith Bistany Millott, both of Worcester; her loving pets, Della and Ginger; nieces, nephews, a grandniece and a grandnephew; aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws, friends and co-workers.  Jill was born in Fayetteville, NC, daughter of the late, Samuel and Catherine (Driscoll) Bistany.  She grew up in a military family and traveled extensively.  She and Mike continued that tradition throughout their marriage.

Jill graduated from Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing and received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Assumption College and a master’s degree in health administration from Worcester State University.

Jill spent her entire professional career, which spanned forty-two years, at Saint Vincent Hospital.  She was extremely proud of her staff on 21 south; and was a mentor to countless students from Worcester Technical High School.

Jill loved to be surrounded by friends and family and was always a "ray of sunshine" wherever she went.

Her family wishes to thank all her friends from Saint Vincent that supported her this past month with compassion and love.

Calling Hours will be on Monday, March 7, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
