Jill "Miss P" Prenier-Dupre

Jill Prenier-Dupre, 67 of Millbury, passed away surrounded by the family she loved, Thursday, August 15, 2024, after a period of declining health. 

Jill was born in Worcester, The daughter of John “Jackie"and Barbara J. (Orstrom) Brooks. Jill lived in St Louis, graduated High School and Cosmetology School while there. She then moved back to the Auburn area and accepted a position with Pete Cosenza at the “Hair’s Inn. For years Jill performed as lead singer for the local band “Rock Candy”. In recent years Jill worked as a Child Specific Paraprofessional, assisting special needs children at the Walter Patton School in Shrewsbury, before retiring in 2023. Jill, known as "Miss P", was loved by her students and teachers alike. She took great pride and satisfaction in her work. At one time she also worked for Logan Equipment and New England Sash.

Jill is survived by her husband Dennis, whom she was married to for 10 years, dying on their Anniversary, two stepsons she considered her own, Jason Dupre and his wife Chrissey of Shrewsbury, Scott Dupre and his wife Keri of Newport R.I.; two grandchildren, Bryce and Haley; her pet cat “Honey Boy”; nieces, nephews, cousins including Jane-Anne Crossman of Clinton and Joanne MacLaughlin of Lancaster, and many friends.  She was predeceased by a long time friend, Vivian "Bondi" McCabe

Jill was kind, gentle, honest, compassionate, and had a quick sense of humor. She will surely be missed. 

 A period of calling hours will be held Saturday, August 24th from 11 am to 1 pm followed by a prayer service in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Worcester Animal Resue League, 139 Holden St. Worcester.
