Joanne T Lamontagne

      Joanne T (Messina) Lamontagne 77 of Worcester formerly of Sutton passed away peacefully on Friday February 12, 2021 after a period of declining health.

       Born in Worcester on Sunday May 9^th, 1943, Joanne was the daughter of Louis and Anna (Festa) Messina of Grafton.  Joanne grew up in Grafton, later moved to Millbury to raise her family, eventually retiring and moving to Arizona before returning to Massachusetts in 2016.

       Joanne is survived by her 3 children, Steven Lamontagne and his wife Beth and their children Garrett and Grace, all of Sutton, Linda Brandtman and her children, Connor and Logan Brandtman, all of Arizona, and Richard Lamontagne and his wife Sonya of Florida, a sister, Elaine Thulin and her husband Tom of Millbury, 2 nieces, Susan and Sarah Thulin of Millbury, A sister- in- law Janice Sena and her husband Francis X of Worcester.

       Joanne worked for many years at the family business Millbury Fish & Chips, followed by several years at the Protector Group Insurance Company and Lundgren Honda. She also enjoyed being a home heath aid while living in Arizona.

       Joanne looked forward to getting together with family and friends for a friendly, but often competitive game of Scat, that always ended with much laughter and homemade Italian food. In her younger years you could have found Joanne playing golf with the women’s league at Clearview Country Club, out dancing on a Friday night or shopping with friends.

      She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

      There are no calling hours.  Burial services will be held privately at a later date.

     The family would like to take this time to thank the entire staff at The Lutheran Rehab and Skilled Care Center and The Summit Eldercare Program for going above and beyond when managing Joanne’s ever changing medical needs. Their professionalism and compassion will always be remembered.
