John A Loiseau

August 1, 1939 — March 28, 2021

John A. “Jack” Loiseau, 81, a longtime resident of Shrewsbury (and Coral Springs, Florida) passed away peacefully Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his home under hospice care surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born in Worcester, the son of George and Doris (Davis) Loiseau.  He grew up on Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury.  While in middle school, he met the love of his life, Patricia and in 1960 they began their life of love and family for the next 60 years.  During their younger years, they attended Shrewsbury High School where he was named “Mr. America” and was a standout athlete on the football field.  Jack later served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy stationed on the USS Nantahala in the Mediterranean.  Upon his return, he worked for a family construction company and Allstate, Aetna and Travelers Insurance for many years.

Jack always had a passion for exciting cars, was an enthusiastic Patriots and Bruins fan and had a never-ending yearning for the sea, all of which he passed along to his three sons.  While raising their sons, they enjoyed summers on the shores of Narragansett Bay, many exciting and memorable family trips and countless ice hockey games.  They also enjoyed their many travels and cruises with family and friends.  Most of all Jack relished his time with Patricia and their time with their sons and their families especially at Cape Cod and Florida, where Jack and his wife enjoyed several years of retirement before returning home.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Patricia L. (Leone) Loiseau; his three sons, Michael J. Loiseau and his wife Lynn of Millbury, Brian J. Loiseau and his wife Andrea of Shrewsbury, and Kenneth J. Loiseau and his wife Cynthia of Lighthouse Point, FL, and seven grandchildren, Gerard, Trevor, Alex, Samantha, Jaclyn, Nicole and Krista.  One of five children, Jack is survived by his sister, Donna Mancini, and brothers, Paul “Pudgy” Loiseau and George “Gigi” Loiseau.  Jack was predeceased by his youngest sister, Doreen Borci.

Jack’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caring and compassionate hospice team who showed their respect and concern for him through his final moments.
