Joseph T. Albrizio, 91, of Webster, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loving family.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of nearly sixty-eight years, Michaelyn L. (Scheve) Albrizio; two daughters, Diane M. Grenier and her husband Christopher of St. Cloud, FL, and Donna J. Albrizio of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Gina Marie Wood and her husband Jeff of Holden, and Christopher Grenier, Jr. and his wife Christine of Belle Isle, FL; a great grandson, Lukas Wood; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Thomas Albrizio and Joseph Albrizio, Jr. Joe was born at home in Shrewsbury, son of the late, Thomas and Mary (Delorto) Albrizio. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School and later lived in Grafton, before moving to Webster in the late 1990’s.
Joe owned and operated Albrizio’s Deli on Main Street in Downtown Worcester for over forty-five years, before he retired. He was an avid Boston sports team fan, an active member of the Knights of Columbus and Little League coach while living in Grafton and enjoyed boating on Webster Lake. Although he retired from the deli, he continued connecting people with food, by volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
Joe was a hard-working business owner, but nothing gave him more satisfaction than being with family.
The Albrizio family would like to specially thank Natalia, Amma, Glo and Paulette for the outstanding personal care provided.
The family welcomes friends and relatives to join them on Thursday morning at the funeral home for Calling Hours from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
