Joseph P. Brown, 79, of Ware, formerly of Worcester passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, February 25th 2023.
Joseph was born in Buffalo, NY, one of seven children of Raymond and Jean (McCann) Brown. On October 4th, 1961, he joined the U.S. Army serving proudly during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge and return home, Joe met and married Natalie A. Monfreda. They then began a 57-year life of family, devotion, and love, in Worcester and the last 18 years in Ware. Joseph worked first for the former Johnson Steel and Wire company, before becoming a route bus driver for Varney’s in East Brookfield.
Joe is survived by his wife Natalie; five children, Lenora Brown, Jennifer Brown and Joseph C. Brown all of Ware, Lori Brown and Melissa Brown both of Worcester; a brother, Michael Brown in Buffalo; five grandchildren, Christopher, Sasha, Corey, Leandra, and Alvia; four great grandchildren, Saniya, Cahmya, Christopher, and Camron; a brother in law whom he considered another brother, Joseph Monfreda; nieces, nephews, extended family both in Massachusetts and Buffalo. A brother, Ronald Brown, and four sisters, Patricia D’Amico, Barbara Fofi, Rae Hanratty and Kathy Hale, all predeceased him.
Joe was a kindhearted man with a huge heart, great smile and sense of humor. He had an enthusiastic interest for model trains and home improvement. You could always find Joe fixing something, painting something or making something. He was always willing to lend a hand to fix something for anyone who asked whether neighbor or family. He liked trips to the casino, watching all sports on television, notably the Boston Red Sox or anything on TV. He was a diehard livelong Buffalo Bills fan.
