Joseph “Joe” H. Chartier, aged 65, of Southbridge, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in Worcester, MA.

Born in Southbridge, MA on April 20, 1959, to Beatrice Regina (Wassmer) and the late, Arthur Joseph Chartier. Raised in Southbridge, Joe attended Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School where he majored in mechanics. 

Renowned for his kind heart, generosity, and hard work, Joe was always there if you needed him. He was a landscaper who cherished caring for his lawn and cut wood. Joe enjoyed spending his free time playing pool and working on cars, but nothing could compare with his love of riding motorcycles. He was an avid rider and has owned a few motorcycles over the years. Joe’s favorite motorcycle he owned was his Harley-Davidson. 

In addition to his beloved mother, Joe is survived by his son, Jeremy Carrington and his wife Ginger of Orange; his grandchildren, Cameron, Natalia, Logan, Blake, and Ozzie; his sisters, Susan Derry and her husband Mike of Webster, Mary Ross and her husband Jim of Mayfield, Kentucky, and Elaine Ramsey and her husband Robert of Dudley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:00am at Westridge Cemetery, Charlton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s memory to your local dog shelter, Joe had a love for dogs.
