Joseph Wilson Johnson passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 15th, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. Joey was 35.
Joey lived a long, full, happy life with the diagnosis of Neonatal Adrenoleukodystrophy, which took from him his sight and hearing at a young age.
Joey touched countless lives through his wonderful loving ways, personality, laughter, and unending strength. He won many awards over the years at the Special Olympics. He enjoyed swimming at the Greendale YMCA. Many looked forward to seeing him on his outings into the community with the Seven Hills day habilitation program. Most of all he was loved by his family, friends, and caregivers.
He will be greatly missed but held and remembered in our hearts forever. He is now resting on the wings of the angels.
He is survived by his mother, Joanne Johnson, his father, Joseph Johnson of Worcester, MA; brother Matthew Johnson of Pawtucket, RI; aunts and uncles: Andrew and Linda Johnson; Susan and Ronald St. Martin; Barbara and Charles Gallegos; Patricia and Alan Skinner; Donna and Michael Lynch, and many cousins.
