Joseph F. Laperle, III

Joseph F. Laperle, III, 68 of Pocasset, Cape Cod, formerly of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 9, 2021 at home.

Joseph was born in Worcester, a son of the late Joseph F. Laperle, Jr. and Ann D. (Cozzolino) Reynolds.  He attended Worcester schools and lived here for many years before moving to Cape Cod 30 years ago.  Joseph worked in maintenance for Community Council Against Substance Abuse for many years.  He was a member of the Worcester Surf Casting Club; enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, music, camping and hanging with close friends.

Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph F. Laperle, IV. and his daughter, Jennifer Laperle-Sclamo both of Worcester; a brother, John Laperle and his wife Marylou of Auburn; three sisters, Linda Chenevert and her husband Butch, Rose Smith and Holly Hogan and her husband Dan all of Worcester; three grandchildren, Alisa, Kayla and Julien; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Gabriella; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Joseph’s brother and best friend, Robert Reynolds predeceased him.

A period of calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  A Memorial Mass for Joseph will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making donations in Joe’s name to MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA. 02130.
