It is with great sadness, that we announce the unexpected passing on Thursday, May 9th, 2019, of our son, brother, uncle and family member Juan E. Santana Jr. who was 54 years of age.
Juan was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico on August 25, 1964, one of three children of Juan E. Santana, Sr. and Maria L. Centeno. As a young child, Juan moved to the Worcester Area and graduated from North High School. Shortly after graduation, Juan enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving a six-year tour of duty around the world before being Honorably discharged at the U.S. Naval Base in Norfolk. Juan as a military veteran Juan accepted a position with XPO Logistics Company in Virginia as a machinist where he has worked for many years.
Juan is survived by a daughter, Tabitha Santana in Florida; his mother, Maria L Centeno; brother, Luis Alberto Santana and sister, Migdalia Santana all of Worcester; several nephews and nieces including, Shelley and Zolly Mercado, Melissa Torres, Marc Anthony Lopez, Charisse, Abigail and David Santana; 3 great nieces; Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family members.
Juan a hardworking individual who had a passion for travel, Jogging, and collecting coins. He was also a huge Stars Wars enthusiast.
A period of calling hours will be held Friday, May 17th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St followed by a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
