Auburn

Judith “Judy” E. (Landry) Laukaitis, 83 of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Leon H. and Rita M. (King) Landry. She grew up in Worcester and Shrewsbury, and spent her career as a talented cake decorator, bringing joy to family celebrations with her cakes, pies, and treats. Judy made her home in Auburn and later in Franklin, WI, where she loved being “Memé” and spending time with her grandchildren as they grew.

Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in the love she shared with her family. Whether it was an afternoon at Papa Gino’s, a trip to Disney World, or preparing “korshe” on Thanksgiving, she cherished every moment spent together. Fiercely proud of her family, she stood by them with unwavering support, always offering encouragement wrapped in sharp wit, playful banter, and an infectious, fun-loving spirit. Judy’s strength, warmth, and one-of-a-kind energy made her truly unforgettable, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Judy is survived by three children, Lisa Nussbaum and her husband Reinhold of Oak Creek, WI, Kevin Sweeney and his wife Joan of Brewster, and Monica Greelish and her husband William, Jr. of Auburn; a brother, Paul Landry of Brookfield; a sister, Carol Mercurio of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Ryan Meadows and her husband Kyle of Auburn, Nichole Desrosiers and her fiancé Alex Grandmaison of Milwaukee, WI, Kelsey Lamoureux and her husband Christian of Worcester, Patrick Sweeney of Orleans, William Greelish III and his wife Margaret of Raynham, and Natascha Nussbaum of Oak Creek, WI; two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Andi Meadows; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, John Landry and a sister, Joyce Lavoie.
