Judith “Judy” (Direnzo) Greene, 68, of Worcester passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the ones she loved Sunday, December 15th, 2019.
Judy was born April 1st, 1951, in Worcester, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Lyons) Direnzo. Judy married her love and neighborhood boyfriend, Kenneth J. Greene. They recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her husband Kenny; two daughters, Cathy A. Toscano and her husband James, Linda M. Barbato and her husband Robert and a sister Margaret “Peggy” Buffone all of Worcester; the apple of her eye and grandson she was so proud of, Dominic; her close friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Besides her parents, a brother, Richard Direnzo, sister Barbara Direnzo, brother in law, Vincent Buffone, a niece Jennifer and nephew Ricky Direnzo Jr. all predeceased her.
Judy was a stay at home mom who raised her family with love and dedication. She was a beautiful person who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; spending time with family and friends, family dinners, cooking and baking, hosting the many friends who came to her home for a cup of coffee and to talk. Judy also found peace, relaxation and family at “The Camp” in East Douglas. Judy enjoyed watching cooking shows, especially the Pioneer Women. She truly believed that family and friends were the most important parts of her life and carried on all of the family traditions. She had room in her heart for everyone she met and was very generous with her love, time and resources, and helped anyone she could. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts but her loving and caring soul will never be forgotten.
