Julia (Ryngiewicz) Latino, 91 of Wayland, formerly Auburn and Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, May 31st, 2019.
Julia was born in Worcester on March 6, 1928, the daughter of Polish immigrants John and Eva (Waranowska) Ryngiewicz. Raised and educated in the Polish neighborhood of Vernon Hill, she graduated from St Mary’s High School. In 1951, Julia, married in Our Lady of Czestochowa church, the “Love of Her life” for the next 66 years, Louis J. Latino, Sr, raising their family in Worcester, and sixteen years in Auburn before moving to Wayland to be close to her son.
Julia worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant. She began her working years with the Worcester Brewing Company, then the law firm, Mahar, McCann and Talcott and finally Commonwealth Screw Company before retiring.
Julia’s husband, Louis passed away, January 25, 2017. She is survived by her son Louis J. Latino, Jr. and his wife Alison of Wayland; Many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Five brothers, Anthony, Stanley “Steve”, William, John and Felix Ryngiewicz and a sister, Jane Parks all predeceased her.
Julia was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church; In Julia’s life, husband and son always came first no matter what. She was the backbone of her family and remained devoted to them throughout her life. An unassuming woman who found enjoyment with those closest to her, her family and all the new friends she met in Wayland. Her unwavering faith kept her grounded and helped her through life's challenges. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts but her loving and caring soul will not be forgotten.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, June 5th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Thursday, June 6th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. where her Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial alongside Louis will follow in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire, 225 N. The Latino family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Carriage House at Lee’s Farm in Wayland for the care, comfort, compassion and enjoyment they gave to Julia during the Twilight of her life.
