Julia A. Richardson

Julia A. Richardson, 78 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Julia was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Vincent R. and Ann (DiLiddo) Richardson, Sr. She graduated from Girls Trade School and later earned her certificate in cosmetology from Leo’s Hair School. Julia was the owner of Miss Julie’s Hair Salon on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. In her spare time, Julia enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, watching golf, spending time with friends and family and loved her magazines and crossword puzzles.

Julia is survived by her sister, Sharon Jolicoeur of Worcester; two brothers, Vincent R. Richardson, Jr. and his wife Sheila of California and Gary Richardson and his wife Valerie of Worcester; two nieces, Kerri Scarborough and her husband Michael of Rutland and Christina Richardson of California; three nephews, Shaun Jolicoeur and his partner Colleen Thomson of Worcester, Michael Richardson and his wife Jen of Rutland and Matthew Richardson of Worcster; three great nieces, Alyssa and Hailey Scarborough of Rutland and Kalina Jolicoeur of Worcester. She is predeceased by a nephew, Vincent R. Richardson, III.

Julia’s family would like to thank Holden Rehabilitation, for the wonderful care they gave their sister right until the end.

Services for Julia will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 with calling hours from 10-11 am followed by her funeral service at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
