January 12, 1950 — December 4, 2020

June A. Awad, 70, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.

June was born in January 12, 1950, to Edward and May Kaskewicz of Shrewsbury, and grew up on Lake Quinsigamond, which she loved.  She graduated from Shrewsbury High School and was quickly recruited by Ford Motor Credit Company, where she spent thirty-seven years, and became the first female Branch Manager in company history, rising to the position of Regional Manager of the Northeast Area.  She was a dedicated, loyal Ford employee and enjoyed being a family & friend advisor on Ford automobiles.

In 1977, she met the man who would become her husband, Alfred Awad, Jr., they wed in 1978.  Together they went on to have a son, Jeffrey Adam Awad; and enjoyed forty-two years of a fun, loving marriage.  Her main passion in life was always taking care of and doing kind things for family and friends.  Her generosity and kindness was apparent to all who met her and she will live on in the hearts of so many.  She loved traveling, meeting new people, and cooking special meals.  She was a member of Saint George Orthodox Cathedral.

June is survived by her husband Al; son, Jeff and his wife Ada and granddaughter, Alexandria, all of Worcester; two sisters, Helen Danshire and her husband Ronald, and Diane Beaudry and her husband Craig and their children, Mitchell and Miranda Beaudry, all of Myrtle Beach, SC; step-daughters, Julie Buduski of Worcester and Jessica Buduski and her husband Matthew Roy of Boylston; granddaughters, Adrianna Buduski; Kayla Buduski, and Alexis Roy; niece and nephew, Trevala and Casey Kaskewicz, children of her brother Edward; as well as many other nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, May and Edward Kaskewicz and by her brother, Edward J. Kaskewicz.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and for everyone’s safety, her family has chosen to have her services held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Dana Farber in Milford or the Salmon VNA, both who provided great care and comfort.

The family has entrusted Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel.
