June A. (Hansen) Solomon, 80 of Worcester formerly a longtime Auburn resident passed away peacefully Thursday, April 29, 2021.
June was born in Auburn, June 14, 1940. She was one of ten children of Eno and Stella (Faford) Hansen. Raised in Auburn, she graduated from Auburn High School and began her life as a wife and mother, living many years in Auburn before moving to Worcester.
June’s ex-husband Bradford “Brad” Solomon passed away August 4, 2014. June is survived by her daughter Judy Solomon - Biando and son, Bradford "Brad" Solomon Jr. of Worcester with whom she lived with. June also leaves her brothers, Leonard Hansen of Oxford, and Paul Hansen of Worcester and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, June was predeceased by her son in law, James Biando, son Brad’s life partner Deborah Reddy, brother, William, and six sisters, Corrinne Kleczka, Marilyn Hanson McIntire, Carol Hehir, Pauline Merriam, Joan Young, and Marie Richardson.
June loved animals, notably her many pets including, her poodle “Charlie” and cat, “Gizmo”. She enjoyed Hampton Beach, flowers and her life was all about the special care and love for her animals. June was generous, good natured person with a heart of gold. Her most memorable moments will be those spent with her family.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St. Worcester 01606.
