Justice Angel Batista, 20, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 13, 2022, in the comfortable surroundings of his home.
Justice is survived by his mother, Elba “Giselle” Ortiz, with whom he lived; his father, Jose “Cito” Batista of Worcester; two sisters, Kiara Janae Colon of Shrewsbury and Sabrey Batista of Worcester; his maternal grandparents, José Luis Ortiz of Worcester and Olga DeSouza and her husband Eduardo of Worcester; his paternal grandmother, Teofila Batista of Worcester; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Justice was born in Worcester and has been here all his life.
Justice graduated from Worcester Technical High School and was a proud member of the 2019 Championship basketball team and was awarded a Key to The City with the entire team. He had many friends and participated in the Worcester Police PAAL Basketball League.
Calling Hours will be on Monday, February 21, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, February 22, at 10 a.m. in The Church of Saint Peter, 931 Main Street, Worcester. (PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH). Interment be held privately.
