Justin T. Fillios, 20, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by the loving presence of his family and friends.
Justin was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on July 12, 1999. Justin was proud of his time as a student at the Advanced Math and Science Academy in Marlborough. He had a spirit to serve and was active with the former Central Mass Young Marines. Reverse engineering and tinkering were Justin’s passions. He was a master at figuring out how things work. You could never be sure what he might disassemble, but his talent assured it would be fixed and repaired when he was done. Justin was very much a free spirit, known for his spontaneity and high energy. He loved to be on the go. Justin’s special gift was sharing his heart with others. He had a keen awareness of others’ needs and was always willing to help. He was thoughtful, empathetic, and selfless. His joy was in giving to others in need.
Justin is survived by his father, Robert J. Fillios and his wife Lauren and his mother Sandra J. (Beniquez) Landon and her husband Shaun; three brothers, Jordan Fillios of Los Angeles, CA., Calvin Fillios of Hudson and Nico Fillios of Berlin; his maternal grandparents, Yolanda Youtsey of Worcester and Norman Youtsey of Butler, KY; three step-brothers, Noah, Ethan and Luke Landon of Natick; his godparents, Tony and Donna Moreno of Shelton, CT; many aunts, uncles and cousins including Brian Fillios of Berlin, Brady and Mallory Fillios both of Grand Blanc, MI. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Barbara (Souhlaris) Fillios and his paternal grandfather, Samuel Beniquez.
