Kathleen T. McCarthy

April 19, 1960 — August 31, 2023

Kathleen T. (Kelley) McCarthy, 63, of Boylston, MA passed away August 31, 2023, after a lengthy battle with Dementia, with her husband John by her side. Born to the late Donald and Patricia (Bennett) Kelley, Sr., she was the beloved sister of James Kelley and his partner Donna Jones, of Fitchburg, John Kelley and his wife Deborah (Drew) of Dudley, the late Donald Kelley, Jr. of Worcester, and the late Teresa Kelley of Worcester. Kathleen is also survived by her stepchildren, Mary McCarthy of Worcester and Michael McCarthy of Foothill Ranch, CA, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and several cousins.  She also leaves behind her loving caregiver of seven years, Heather Wright-Craft of Shrewsbury.

Kathleen was an artist, unconditional lover, and passionate giver. She spent most of her time in service to others. She consistently donated her time, money, and effort to causes she supported and people she loved. She was creative, intelligent, witty, soulful, and joyous. She was an absolute treasure to be around. Kathy had a passion for art and craftsmanship from painting to pottery. Her creativity was contagious and beautiful.  Above all else Kathy was a caregiver, she wouldn’t hesitate to do anything for those she loved. The impact she’s had on her family, friends, and charitable organizations will not soon be forgotten.

At Kathleen’s request, there will be no services at this time. A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org.
