Keitha L. (Myers) Lewis, 59, of Worcester, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Keitha was born in Boston, MA, on January 23, 1965, the daughter of the late Mary Alice (Searcy) Myers and the late Alex Taylor.
Keitha was married to Ray A. Lewis. She was an extremely family oriented woman who took on the responsibility of helping raise many family members prior to becoming a mother and during her motherhood journey.
Keitha was a dedicated, hardworking woman with a strong work ethic, who took pride in her work. She was a member of Eureka Butler Chapter #16 and a devoted daughter of Syria Temple #10 both of Boston MA until she became ill. Keitha had the biggest heart ever; she would literally give the shirt off her back to anyone who was in need. She loved spending time with family, hosting cookouts, family gatherings and parties. She was the glue that held her family and friends together. Keitha will forever be remembered as always being present for her loved ones in any capacity they needed her. She loved to do crossword puzzles, crochet, and art and crafts. She was so full of life, laughter and love.
Sadly, Keitha was preceded by both of her parents, her Bonus Dad; James T. Myers Jr., her grandparents; E.C. Searcy, Mary Doris and James Chambliss, her niece; Crystal Myers, her nephews; Choise and Anthony Terrell Walton, and her beloved pet-son; Bear.
Keitha is survived by her husband, her daughters who were her pride and joy; Brookeita R. Payne, Keishena D. Payne, Promiss U. Floyd; her adored granddaughter; Brooklynn R. Blake, her cherished siblings; NaTasha Searcy, Yolanda Myers, James Myers III, LaDawn Myers, Karen Myers; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember the life of Keitha on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, 55 Illinois St, Worcester, from 11:00am to 12:00pm with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
