Kenneth J. Greene

Kenneth “Kenny” J. Greene, 74, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home.  His wife of forty-nine years, of whom he loved and cherished, Judith “Judy” (Direnzo) Greene, predeceased him in December 2019.

Kenny is survived by his two daughters, Cathy A. Toscano and her husband James and Linda M. Barbato and her husband Robert, all of Worcester; his grandson, he was so proud of, Dominic Toscano; a sister, Joyce Hardy, all of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.  Kenny was born June 3rd, 1949, in Worcester, son of the late, Victor and Josephine (Koski) Greene, and has lived here all his life.  He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

Kenny worked for over forty years at Harr Lincoln Mercury as an automotive electrical technician and shop steward.  He was extremely capable of fixing anything at a moment’s notice.  He was often referred to as “Kenny Depot” because he always had the right tool or part.  His reputation for exceptional quality was unparalleled; if it was “Kenny Built” it was built to last.

Kenny was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He especially loved fishing on his bass boat with his grandson Dominic, at “The Camp”. His daughters were his pride and joy, and he knew he was blessed to have them both living so close.

All Services will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Saturday, February 3, 2024, with Calling Hours from 8:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., follow by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.  The church address is 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester, MA 01604.  Interment beside his loving wife will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
