Kenneth R. Sullivan, Sr., 76, a longtime resident of Auburn and Worcester passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at home.
Kenneth’s wife of forty-eight years, Anntonette L. “Ann” (Etre) Sullivan passed away on January 10, 2015. He is survived by his son, Kenneth R. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife Danielle of Worcester; his daughter, Kelly A. Landgren and her husband Jeffrey of Holden; four grandchildren, Bryan and Shawn Landgren of Holden and Madeline and Olivia Sullivan of Worcester; his sister Cathy Mattson of Paxton; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Barbara O’Connell.
Kenneth was born in Worcester, son of the late Daniel and Madeline (Manchester) Sullivan. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly. Kenneth worked as a police officer for the Auburn Police Department for 29 years before he retired. After retiring he worked full-time for Home Depot. He was a member of Saint John’s Church; a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Pope John and also a member of the Auburn Elks, American Legion Vernon Hill Post, the Massachusetts Police Association and the Teamsters Union 170.
Services for Kenneth will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with his funeral mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in Saint John’s Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately. A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 24th from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
