Kevin is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Mary Ann (Fortunato) Lavin; three daughters, Nicole M. Tomanek and her husband Richard of Hudson, Elyse A. Lavin of Las Vegas, and Kelly M. Boucher and her husband Lukas of Boylston; two sisters, Kathryn Szolusha and her husband Mark of Florida and Patricia Messina of Auburn; five grandchildren, Cole and Kyle Tomanek, Chandler Barnes, Joseph and Lucy Boucher; nieces and nephews. He grew up in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School. He would later move to Holden, where he and Mary Ann raised their family for the last thirty-seven years.
Kevin worked as a union carpenter with Local 107 (now Local 336) for thirty-five years before retiring several years ago. Kevin put these skills to good use by building his family their home, regularly working a full shift during the day and spending the remainder of the evening working tirelessly on their house.
Kevin enjoyed music, photography, the beach, deep sea fishing, and in his later years, flying his drone and playing pool.
Kevin was devoted to his family and seeing his grandchildren was always the best part of his day.
