Leo E. Rouleau, 81, a life-long resident of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Homestead Hall in Worcester.
Leo is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Kathleen (Monahan) Rouleau; their son, Robert F. Rouleau and his wife Rene and granddaughter, Helena, all of Ashland. Leo was born in Worcester, son of the late J. Leo and Mae F. (Gabree) Rouleau and has lived here all his life. Leo grew up in the Main South area of Worcester, where he formed many life-long friendships. He graduated from Commerce High School and later served his nation proudly in the United States Army.
Leo held positions at Heald Machinery, Metropolitan Life Insurance and Automatic Data Processing but the title he revered most was Dad and later, grampy. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, was an avid reader, lover of the arts and travel, sports fan and coach, political activist and comedic genius. He loved life and those who called him a friend can attest to his fierce loyalty and generosity.
Calling Hours will be on Wednesday, July 26, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, July 27, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
