Leonard Joseph Piccinino, Formally of Worcester MA, Passed away on November 3, 2022 in Corona CA. He was born in Worcester on March 23, 1924. He was the son of Severina (D’Errico) and Giacomo Piccinino. He was a Navy Vet of World War II. While in the Navy he attended Wentworth Institution. He was nominated as a candidate for the Naval Academy in Annapolis MD. He also served in the Army, from 1949 to 1963, retiring as a CWO-3. Mr. Piccinino Was employed at Norton Company from 1963 to 2003. He was head instructor of Norton Company Research and Development Grinding Unit. Leonard retired at the age of 79 as a Regional Products Supervisor. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Armand and Joseph; sisters, Yolanda Minchillo, Carmela Gill, Helen Mangini and Natalie Zois. He is survived by his sister Gloria Trafacante. He is survived by his wife Lucy (Murphy) Piccinino; his daughters, Mary Ireland and her husband Jeff of Murrells Inlet SC and Rosanne Piccinino of Riverside, CA; a son, James Piccinino of Placentia, CA; three grandsons, Timothy Ireland, Matthew Ireland and his wife Shauna, and Christopher Piccinino; two granddaughters, Christine Piccinino-Arrington and Camille Piccinino; six great grandchildren, Austin Curran, Brittany Curran, Kenneth Ireland, Robert Arrington, Kaitlyn Ireland and Koleton Ireland. Many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 10-11 am with his funeral service immediately following at 11 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow to Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury, MA
