Lewis “Boddie” Charles Henderson

Lewis “Boddie” Charles Henderson, Jr., 91, of North Grafton, MA, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 3, 1931, in Milo, ME, and was raised there by his parents, the late Ora and Doris (Smart) Kelly.

Boddie married Mary Ellen (Webb) in 1955 and later moved to Charlton, MA. Boddie and Mary raised their family in Charlton before moving to Auburn, and later to Grafton. He worked at R.H. White Construction Company for over 40 years before his retirement.

Boddie was proud to be a Reserve Deputy Sherriff for years and had a great appreciation for law enforcement.

Boddie and Mary shared their love of animals and had many great pets over the years, most noteworthy their beloved dog Shadow.  Boddie and Mary also enjoyed hunting together and long drives while antiquing.

Besides his wife, Mary, Boddie leaves behind his 6 daughters: Deborah Mahoney and her husband Brian of Worcester, Jessie Freitas and her husband Steve of Auburn, Mary Pepka of Douglas, Donna Henderson of Grafton, Deborah Falvo and her husband Lou of Charlton, and Gini Urella and her husband Rich of North Grafton. He also leaves 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Boddie will be private, at the request of the family.
