Linda (Rocco) Cicero

Linda A. (Rocco) Cicero, 66, a lifelong Worcester resident passed away surrounded by her cherished family, Friday, May 3^rd2024, after a recent illness.

Linda, born in Worcester on November 2^nd, 1957, the daughter of Gerald “Jerry” and Catherine (Buffa) Rocco. She graduated from North High School. Her love and husband of 34 years Mark S. Cicero, passed away on September 11, 2014. 

Linda worked for the Worcester Public Schools as an assistant teacher for many years and later went into retail for various area department stores. Her true love, however, was taking care of her family and home. She devoted her life to them and always made sure they thrived and were given the opportunity to succeed. 

 Linda is survived by her three children, Karla L. Cicero with whom she lived, Mark A. Cicero and his wife Brieann, and Jacqueline K. Cicero all of Worcester;  A brother, Gerald “Jerry” Rocco, Jr. of N. Attleboro; four grandchildren she adored and took so much enjoyment with, Felicia Marlborough, Rocco Cicero, Logan Cicero & Nolan Cicero. As well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.   A sister, Mary Ann Boulay also predeceased her. 

Linda was a dedicated avid New England Patriots fan. She watched every game. She also loved shopping and tanning. Her family, notably her grandchildren, were her life. She took extraordinary pride in babysitting her grandkids, cooking and cleaning. Having family and friends around was her greatest pleasure.  

Linda’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am Thursday, May 9th in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.  The family requests that flowers be omitted.  The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
