Linda (Bricault) Nater

March 28, 1948 — August 30, 2023

Linda G. (Bricault) Nater, 75, a lifelong Worcester resident passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born Worcester, March 29, 1948, a daughter of Ferdinand J. and Audrey (Marengo) Bricault.  

Linda is survived by her three children, Mark P. Fair and his wife Jennifer of Worcester, Tammy L. Kahale of Sutton, and Raimie A. Nater of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Susan Labelle of Spencer, Debra Labelle of Webster, and Diane Tomecko of Putnam, Connecticut; 16 grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  In addition to her parents, she joins in heaven, two of her children, Shawn P. Fair and Mindy J. Nater, her son in law, Dori Kahale, three sisters, Janet Plante, Jean Poole, and Sharon Pacek.

Linda was a member of the Greendale Peoples Church, and the Worcester Senior Center. She graduated from Commerce High where she was a drummer for the marching band Paramount Drum and Bugle Corporation.  Linda was a loving mother, with a kind heart, smile, and a big sense of humor; Dressed as “BoBo” the clown, Linda would volunteer bringing balloons to the local pediatric cancer patients. She was offered a full scholarship to Barnum & Bailey Clown College after an Audition at the Centrum in Worcester, unfortunately she was unable to pursue it. Linda, cherished her family, found her greatest moments in life at family dinners, cookouts, holidays, and special occasions.  She enjoyed telling jokes, enjoyed crafts, namely sewing and crocheting, constructing blankets, hats, mittens, and anything she could for family and friends. Linda’s Poem called “A Shot Rang Out” written at the age 15 was published in the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston.

A period of calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 6th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester followed by her funeral service at 11:00 am.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
