Lois Logan

Lois Logan , 97, beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord was called home to her great reward in Heaven on Tuesday January 19, 2021.  Born in Gretna, VA to the late Thomas and Rowena (Toller) Martin, Lois and her late husband, Joseph F. Logan, chose to build their life together in Worcester, MA where Lois was a proud resident for almost 70 years. 

Lois loved and cared for her family which also included her fellow members of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served for many years in many capacities and was revered as a "mother of the church."

Lois will forever be remembered as a beautiful woman who had the heart of a servant, a mother's love for her children and grands, a devoted wife, and an ever faithful steward over her many blessings.  Her faith and love for the Lord and His work were the cornerstones of her life and will be a legacy for family and friends for generations.    

Lois leaves behind her son Julius J. Logan, daughter Delaris Bonds, three granddaughters Tiffany Brooks, Kimberly Grocher, Cherie Bonds Beeken, two great grandchildren Gregory Brooks III, Rebecca Beeken, and a large extended family.

A celebration of Lois’s life will be held at 11am on Thursday January 28, 2021 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church 717 Main St. Worcester, MA 01610.  Family will receive visitors at the church at 10am.  Burial will be held at a later date in Gretna,VA where Lois will be laid to rest with the beloved family that has gone on before her. 

Covid precautions will be observed at the church including no contact, face masks and social distancing. THE MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, MA 01605 is privileged to serve the Logan family.
