Lois (DiTerlizzi) Lupien

Lois (DiTerlizzi) Lupien, 72, of Sturbridge, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, after a period of declining health.

Lois was born in Worcester, the daughter of Michael F. DiTerlizzi, Sr. and Mary A. (Mezzano) DiTerlizzi. Raised in Shrewsbury, Lois graduated from Shrewsbury High School,  married the “Love of her Life” Harry P. Lupien on July 6, 1968, and spent the next 53 years, dedicated to her husband, children, and grandchildren.  Lois and Harry moved from Worcester to Sturbridge in 1993 to live in their home built by her father and brother-in-law, Arthur Lupien as well as other family and friends.

Lois is survived by her husband Harry; four daughters, twins, Lori Haarala and her husband Brett of Framingham, Lisa Fitzpatrick and her husband David of East Longmeadow, Lorraine Lupien, Margaret Stanley and her companion Robert Brogan all of Sturbridge; two brothers, Mark DiTerlizzi and his wife Lucy in Maine, and Michael DiTerlizzi, Jr.; her brother in law, Arthur Lupien; five grandchildren she adored, Ryan, Brooke, Summer, Haley, and Katelyn; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Lois was a member of the Sharing God's Love Ministry in Webster. Lois lived a simple life, dedicated to her family and her home. She enjoyed gardening and canning her harvest for use during the off season, arts, crafts and baking cakes.  She was an animal lover and had several cats and other pets over the years. At one time, Lois bowled and traveled alongside her husband to bowling tournaments around the US.

Lois funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 1^st at 11 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street. Burial will be in the spring. Family and friends can pay their respects from 10 am to 11 am Tuesday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sharing God's Love Ministry, 4 East Main Street, Webster, MA 01570.
