Lorrie Carlson (Lorraine Roche), of Worcester, passed away surrounded by loved ones, from recent complications of a long battle with cancer. She was the loving Mother and Grammy to her 2 daughters, Stephanie Carlson and her fiancé Matt and their children Adelyn & Liam, and Melanie LeBlanc and her husband Bradley & their children Mason & Lydia. She is survived by her dear mother, Diane Markowski; her cherished siblings Jeanne Rafferty, Paul Roche, and Don Markowski. She also leaves behind aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, so many loving friends, including her close friend, Katie, and 2 cats. She was pre-deceased by her sister Marianne Peterson- LeBlanc; her father Richard Markowski; and her biological father, John Joseph Roche.
Lorrie grew up with her tight knit friends from Lincoln Street and graduated from Burncoat High School. She received a certificate in graphic design and later in life achieving an associate’s degree with high honors in Human Services. Lorrie was a proud woman of many trades, enjoying her catering business and work in the medical field. She was a beautiful artist, with many of her paintings hanging on the walls of friends and family’s homes, she cherished moments when she could teach someone to paint.
Lorrie was a nurturer at heart, having volunteered at her Church’s food pantry and local animal shelters. She loved to cook and hosted the best dinner parties. Lorrie wore her heart on her sleeve and gave all she had. Her greatest joy were the cuddles and time spent with her 4 grandkids; she just melted being called “Grammy Lorrie”. She will be very missed.
