Lucia "Lucy" M. DiNitto

Lucia “Lucy” M. (Tiberio) DiNitto, 74, of Shrewsbury, MA, passed away January 4, 2023, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Natale) Tiberio; Beloved wife of 50 years to Robert V. DiNitto; Loving mother of Matthew R. DiNitto (Donna) of Wilmington, Amy M. Blessington (Jim) of Shrewsbury, and Betsy A. David (Keith, Jr.) of Wilbraham; Cherished grandmother of Abby Blessington, Ava DiNitto, Callie Blessington, Nathaniel and Harrison David; Treasured sister to Cathy Piantedosi (Joe) of Framingham, John Tiberio (Priscilla) of Shrewsbury, Gina Hamilton (Hugh) of Shrewsbury, Joe Tiberio (Maureen) of Waltham. Lucy also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Family was most important to Lucy, and she was a devoted wife and mother, relishing times spent surrounded by family.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she proudly attended sports games, performances and graduations. 

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Dana Farber Cancer Center and UMass Memorial Medical Center, as well as the staff of Summit Healthcare, for their excellent care of Lucy during her illness.

Family and friends are invited to honor Lucy on Monday, January 9 from 4:00pm-8:00pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. Lucy’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 10 at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
