Lucy (DiVirgilio) Chabot was born in Worcester in 1932 to Emilio and Cogetta (Bovenzi) DiVirgilio and moved to Millbury as an adult. She was a member of the Friends of the Millbury Senior Center, Friends of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Golden Years, and Friends of the Asa Waters Mansion in Millbury. Lucy was employed by Astra Pharmaceutical and AJ Wright. She Volunteered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Bazaars. She was a member of the Assumption Parish in Millbury but had a special place in her heart for her former parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Worcester. Lucy was always on the go, loved to shop and enjoyed card games with her many friends. She always loved a day at the casino but treasured nothing more than the time she spent with her family.
Lucy’s beloved husband Philip Sr. of 43 years passed away in 1998. She is survived by her three loving sons, Leo Chabot of Millbury, Philip Jr. and his wife Patricia of Florida, and Stephen Chabot and his partner Susan Giacopello of Sutton; her adored granddaughter Kimberly Wilkinson and her husband Joseph of Windham, NH; her cherished great grandchildren, Mollie and Silas of Windham, NH. She is also survived by her nieces, Lucy Lukason and her husband Richard of Sutton and Joyce Ashe and her husband Terry of Homossassa, FL, who she felt were more like daughters to her than nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, Lucy was predeceased by her brother Louis DiVirgilio.
Lucy wanted to express a special appreciation for Susan Giacopello for all that she had done for her over the 15 years of knowing one another. Along with a thank you to Tina for her kind heart and support in the past few months.
