Margo G. Richardson

Margo (Gaitwood) Richardson, 84 of Boylston, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at UMass Hospital.

Margo was born on August 31, 1940 in Wilmington, Delaware, the only child to Thomas and Maude (Rainey) Gaitwood. She worked for the Town of Boylston in the assessor’s office for over 30 years before retiring. Margo previously worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. In her spare time, you would often find her tending to her garden, something she was very passionate about.

Margo is survived by her daughter, Donna Richardson of Boylston with whom she lived; a son, Tignell S. Richardson and his fiancé Ashley Acevedo of Georgia; six grandchildren, Kearstyne Richardson, Justice Chappell, Brianna Richardson, Miles Richardson, Tristan Richardson and Kyrie Richardson; a great grandchild, Erasmus Smith; many cousins including two whom were like her brothers, William Young, III and his wife Anita and Robert Young and his wife Mary all of Wilmington, Delaware. Margo is predeceased by her husband, Tignell A. Richardson on February 24, 2020.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11 am to 12 noon immediately followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial next to her husband in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon will be held privately and at a later date.
