Marie-Lucie (Pierre) Cadeau, 83 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Marie-Lucie was born on January 12, 1941 in Terrier-Rouge, Haiti, a daughter of the late Colbert and Eva (Benjamin) Pierre. She was a fighter and prayer warrior. She worked as a seamstress teacher in Haiti who taught others how to sew.
Marie-Lucie is survived by a son, Caldwell Cadeau of Connecticut; two daughters, Rebecca Cadeau and her husband Nicolas Palmyre of Paris, France and Giselaine Pierre and her husband Gabriel Divers of Worcester; her adopted children, Wilnise Félix, Jocelyn Bienvenu. Seven grandchildren, Rose Etienne, Tamera Cadeau, Dory Cadeau, Angel Cadeau, Florkencia Divers, Francesca Divers and Farrah Divers; three great grandchildren, Nolan Chery, Lyonel Etienne, Jr. and Ricardy Etienne; nieces and nephews, Kettia Benjamin, Céline Jean-Gilles, Obed Félix, Djimps Félix, Djimmy Félix, Evanise Félix; her great nephews and nieces, Nohérose Benjamin, M /Mme Kénol Benjamin, Natacha Occéus, Rosie Pierre, Katia Pierre, M/Mme Feguens Balin, M/Mme Peter Balin, Roméro Paul, Daphney Félix, Stéphanie Félix, Valéry Félix, Widmayer Félix, Robenson Félix, Olga Félix, Myrlandie Félix, Romuald Romain, Rolandie Romain, Dulcina Romain, Samuel Romain, Djinaëlle Carissa Félix, Hans Dave Victor; her great great nephews/nieces and their children, Roberline Pierre-Noël (Fednaëlle François), Schaïdine Michel (Loubycca Sachaïd Céleste), Jonathan Josil, Laurie Josil, Skenya Benjamin, Kate Benjamin, Ked Benjamin, Naïder Nelcy, Brayan Pamphile; her cousins, Michel Benjamin, Marguerite Benjamin Dorsinville, Jean-Claude Benjamin, Guilène Benjamin, Thérèse Benjamin, Christine Benjamin, Edner Benjamin, Betty Benjamin, Emmeline Benjamin Joseph, Herlandez Benjamin, Josette Benjamin, Jacquelin Benjamin, Marie Yolette Benjamin, Yannick Chéry Jacques, Marguerite Chéry; her great cousins, Medjine Benjamin, Kervens Benjamin, Junior Benjamin, Kenny Benjamin, Dimitri Joseph, Sanders Joseph, Lens Joseph, Schaïdine Joseph, Schaïdine Raymond; her great great cousin: Rackel Ann-Saëlle Benjamin.
Two brothers, Duly Felix, Claudion Felix and Arsène Pierre; a sister, Cecile Jean-Gilles all passed away before her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 8-9:30 am followed by her funeral service at 9:30 am in Nouvelle Arche Haitian Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 64 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. MERCADANTE FUENRAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
