Marie E. Salvatore

Marie E. (DiPierro) Salvatore, 84, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Christopher House of Worcester.  She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Salvatore in October 1987.

Marie is survived by two sisters, Grace Bisceglia of Worcester and Tina Bernard and her husband Jim Bernard of Florida; two nieces Cindy Cunnane and Robin Murphy;  and a close friend and neighbor, Brian Anderson.  Marie was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Thomas and Josephine (Sciascia) DiPierro. 

Marie worked for many years in the offices of Liberty Mutual Insurance, having previously worked at the former R.H. White’s Department Store.  She was a member of Saint Anne’s Church.  She enjoyed BINGO and “the wonder of it all”, knitting and spending time at the beach.  Marie loved to be with her family and friends and maintained an active social schedule, especially with her “Friends of Friday” group, for lunch.

There are no Calling Hours.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, September 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Road (route 9 east), Shrewsbury.  Inurnment will follow Mass at Saint Johns’ Cemetery in Worcester.
