Marilyn (Bryan) Boudreau

October 29, 1927 — February 27, 2023

Marilyn (Bryan) Boudreau, 95, a lifelong resident of Worcester, passed away peacefully Monday February 27th, 2023, with her devoted family gathered at her bedside.  Marilyn is reunited in heaven with her husband Valrey “Val” who passed away in 2005 and son Philip who passed away in 2019.

Marilyn was born in Worcester, the daughter of John D. and Marion B. (Young) Bryan.  Raised and educated here, Marilyn married the “Love of her Life” Valrey R. “Val” Boudreau.  They spent the next 62 years devoted to each other and their family until Val left her side on December 18th 2005.   Marilyn continued to be the matriarch of her family with guidance, love, and kindness until her passing.

Marilyn is survived by four children, Dr. Val R. Boudreau, PhD of Wilmington, NC, Sandra H. Roth of Jaffrey, NH, Dennis Boudreau of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dr. Marilyn Cleary, EdD of Worcester; a brother, Donald Bryan of Rutland; 18 Grandchildren; 34 Great Grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.   In addition to her parents, husband, and son, three brothers, James, John, and Charlie Bryan and a sister, Barbara Jones-Tashjian all predeceased her.

Marilyn was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed many summers in Dennisport with family and friends, bingo, the beach, all her friends and activities at the Eisenburg Assisted living, and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and become adults.   Marilyn was a kindhearted woman with a huge heart and bright smile whose greatest moments were those spent with her family during holidays and special occasions.  Marilyn was always generous in telling her friends and family that she “loves them forever” and praying for them daily.

Calling hours for Marilyn will be held Monday, March 6th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by her funeral service in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.   Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Eisenburg Assisted Living Employee Fund, 631 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.

The Boudreau family would like to thank the Eisenburg Assisted Living Keepsake Unit, notably Shanon Sweeney and her team, and Joanna Peatfield, NP and her team at Summit Eldercare for the care, comfort and compassion they gave to Marilyn during her final years.
